Kay is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, and creative technologist based in Brooklyn, NY. They are currently studying at NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications graduate program, with a focus on wearable electronics and human-computer interaction. Prior to attending ITP, they worked as a designer and art director in publishing for nine years, and have been working as a freelance costume designer, performer and event producer since 2018. Thier costume work has been seen onstage at Bonnaroo, House of Yes, Bushwig, and on RuPaul's Drag Race S16. Kay is passionate about making education around technology accessible, and is the co-creator of Dragtronics workshop series, along with Priyanka Makin. They were a 2021 City Artist Corps grant recipient, a 2024 Bodies in Play Resident, and a 2024 NYU Green Grant recipient.
